The CrossFit dietary prescription:
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.
Finely tuned, a good diet will increase health, energy and sense of well being while reducing fat, packing on muscle and optimizing physical performance. Diet is critical to optimizing human function and we believe that following a quality focused Paleolithic diet closely models optimal nutrition. For those who want to further fine tune their intake, or want to be able to eat “unfavorable” foods in moderation, CrossFit suggests Barry Sears’ “Zone Diet” CrossFit’s best performers eat either a Paleo or Zone diet, or both. These diets accelerates and amplifies the effects of the CrossFit regimen.
